Our Eyes Are Bigger Than Our Hoes
It's planting time and all of the seed packets have such awesome pics on the packages.
The tomatoes are so deep red and perfect, no spots on them.. and the packet of seed is only $2.. That won't even buy 2 tomatoes at the grocery store.... OK gotta' have those.
The peppers are perfect on the packet.. you know how we love them on pizza, in salad, stuffed, and they are sold by the piece at the grocery store. A green pepper from the grocery store will buy a whole packet of seeds. ..OK gotta' have those.
Isn't that picture of Eggplant the pretties shade of purple that you've ever seen.... OK gotta' have those (and I don't even like Eggplant... what am I going to do with these when they make eggplants???)
I'm sure that you get the picture...
Lots of enthusiasm for planting those seeds... anticipation. Then the weeds come on and the plants needs water... well, we'll see.
Let's talk about how this went, next July.
